Dear brothers, sisters, and friends,

Greetings to you all from this beautiful country where I remember with fondness all of you in my prayers.  I'm so glad to share with all of you the great things our God Most High is doing for His glory in the nation of Spain.

YOUTH GROUP In June, an invitation was extended to the youth to attent a special meeting, and great was our suprprise to see a group of more than 20 young people showing up!  In this event, themes of interest to them and especially the message of salvation were shared, and it was a blessing to see the response of a good number of those in attendance who prayed the prayer of faith!  To our God be the glory!  Please help us in interceding for these young people who made thier commitments to the Lord, and for wisdom for us so that we can find the most effective way of helping them follow Christ and continue to meet with more young people, who every day face life in this society without Jesus.

COUPLES TALKS  In July, we organized a meeting for married couples and we rejoiced in seeing six couples participate in this event, all interested in hearing the talk given by the Guillens and also enjoying the fellowship that can only be found in Jesus Christ.  The result of this encounter was one couple who recently had received Christ as Savior of their lives, and we are happy for Jose Manuel and Elena, who now form part of our family in the Lord.  Our joy grows in seeing our brother Ignacio, a new disciple, helping in the discipleship of this young couple.  Isn't our Lord wonderful?

BAPTISMS Another truly significant event was the celebration of our August baptisms.  It was a gift from God for all of the church, as we could be witnesses to the joy of ten of our beloved brothers and sisters lowered into the waters of the river to complete the mandate given us by our Lord.  It was such a beautiful time in which all of the members of  the family of "Peace and Hope" community in Albacete, Hellin, Madrid and Cartagena together enjoyed this wonderful celebration.  To our God be the glory forever!

CHILDREN  In September, we celebrated our first Vacation Bible School for a dozen of our church family's children.  During the close, the parents of the children were present to celebrate and hear what their kids had learned during this week of Bible teaching.  It was so encouraging to see three of our sisters involve themselves in teaching the children during this time, and we give thanks to the Lord for the encouragement these women brought us!

TRAINING CURSES  We continue as a team, month by month, working together in the training of the leaders of the group of home churches in Albacete, Hellin, Madrid and Cartagena, and it's a great blessing to see the interest that each of our brothers and sisters demonstrates in learning the best way to help others grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.  Please help us with your prayers for this faithful group, so that each of them can not only become better disciples, but also make disciples of other people.  This encourages us as a team as we continue forward in the work to which we have been commended by our Lord Jesus.

MEMBERS OF OUR CHURCH FAMILY  God has given us the blessing of being able to walk with our brothers and sisters in their first steps as believers by offering Bible studies in the home churches.  Please join us in praying for Ignacio, Gladis, Nora, Ninfa, Karen and Steven, who have shown a desire to take on the privilege of teaching others, and we pray that the Lord would continue perfecting each day the talents and gifts of our brothers and sisters.

Nuria and María

Jesusa

                  Alan

Remember Maria and Nuria?  In my last letter, I commented that the Lord had put Maria in our path with a great interest in the Word of God.  Maria has had a re-encounter with Jesus Christ and during all of this time, she has demonstrated a profound love and commitment to her Lord.  Now her mother, Jesusa, who is a faithful Christian, and her little grandson Alan accompany her to our services.  Please pray that in this way, each member of this dear Bolivian family would become a part of the Church of our Lord -- there is truly great power for salvation in our Lord Jesus!

Débora and Luis

Víctor and Dolores

        Gladis and Ignacio

We also give thanks to God for Debora and Luis, who have a real enthusiasm for serving the Lord.  Their home has been open as a weekly meeting place for our youth, and I ask your prayers for this wonderful couple as they undergo training to become in charge of our young people's group.

Victor and Dolores are part of "Peace and Hope" and live in Hellin, a city of about 30,500 near Albacete.  They've graciously opened the doors of their home to begin a home church there and we give thanks to the Lord for their interest in learning and sharing their faith with others.  Ignacio and Gladis, our disciples, now visit Hellin to help with this work and make disciples of others

Kasimira and Rumen

Rumen and Kasimira are a family from Bulgaria who now form part of our church, and they also have opened their home with a firm commitment in their hearts to making disciples of those Bulgarians who live in Albacete. Mariano and Mariana are part of this group, and we ask your prayers for this great and exciting endeavor!

             Maríana and Mariano

Conchita

Jesusa

          Eduardo-María

Conchita is the mother of Gladis, and she is reciving kidney dialysis, and we've found out that Jesusa, the mother of Maria, likely will need dialysis as well.  Please pray for the health of these dear sisters of ours.  Eduardo is attending our services at the invitation of Maria, and we pray for his salvation, beliving in an Almighty God who heals and who saves!

Let pray to our Lord for the churches in Madrid and Cartagena

During these months, the Lord has given me the privilege of receiving as guests in my home some of our OMS leaders and other beloved sisters and brothers from the United States, England, Venezuela, Ecuador, Mexico, and other parts of Spain.  May God bless and keep them for the privilege they gave me of enjoying their company.

All of this -- and there's yet more, my dear friends! Our great God is doing so much in these places, and we rejoice in the power from on high, the prayers and support of all of you as co-laborers with us in this great work of God as He glorifies His mighty name here in Spain.

And now I'd like now to take this time to share with you from the bottom of my heart the following news:

After having spent much time in prayer asking the Lord for His guidance and direction for the future of my ministry after the month of December, our faithful Father has responded -- and He has shown me that I shall return to Mexico, with the confidence and assurance that He will supply all that I need to return to Spain to continue my work here.

I thank all of my brothers, sisters, and friends who were praying for and with me for the answer God would provide. Thank you so very much! It's my prayer that the Lord would permit me to visit and personally thank each one of you for these two years of support of my ministry in Spain. May the Lord grant this petition of my heart, and thank you for your precious support, encouragement, and prayers. If the Lord permits, we sill be leaving Spain December 16, and I have no doubt that my Lord, our Provider, has a plan already laid out by Him for ministry opportunities in Mexico. May He guide me in His perfect plan -- He is wonderful!
